Haneda Airport Facilities

Haneda Airport’s three terminals have many facilities to cater for passengers. Terminal 1, commonly referred to as Big Bird, is the main operation hub for Japan airlines, Japan Transocean Air, Starflyer, ANA and Skymark Airlines, and operates 24 hrs. The following facilities are available within Haneda Airport.

Shopping Area

Terminals 1 and 3 contain shopping areas where you can get that item that passed your mind. There are also duty free shops located in Terminal 3. Terminal 2 has a six-storey shopping market. 

Eating Places

Terminal 2 contains restaurants throughout its six-storey shopping market. In addition to this, the terminal also contains a rooftop restaurant. Terminal 1 also contains eating spots.

Hotels

Within Terminal 2, there is the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyo. This hotel has a capacity of 387 beds and helps you avoid the hustle of travelling distances to obtain hotel facilities.

Information desks

All three terminals are equipped with information desks from which points you can access general information, buy travel insurance, bus tickets and make hotel reservations.

Financial Facilities

There are several ATM facilities within the terminals to help you top up your pockets.

Other facilities

1-day parking tickets can be obtained for short term parking. There is also a lost-and-found office for misplaced items. In the event that you would like to hire a vehicle, car hire services are available. There are public telephones available for communication. 

Haneda Airport also has a special VIP terminal which is used mostly for foreign heads of state and the Japanese head of state. It is equipped with parking spots for private aircraft.

Transportation from the airport is available through the rail system. Tokyo monorail offers trains to Hamatsucho station, a nonstop run in 16 minutes for yen 470, or by bus to several train stations. Tokyo station is 40 minutes away and fare costs yen 900. For those who prefer to, chartered taxi is also available as public transport.
